Morning Mocha QP!

Did you like my LO?

MMQP.jpg

I hope so, because I made a QP of it just for you! Grab it here!

Before I leave you, I want to apologize. I was planning a bunch more freebies leading up to my grand opening at DSDI today, and as you can see, that didn’t happen. I did offer one freebie (which is still up, by the way, so scroll down for that!) but between me and/or my daughter being sick, and technical difficulties at DSDI, I’m pushing back my grand opening. There is actually stuff in my store now, but last I checked, the store wasn’t working anyway, so just bear with me, please! I’ll make it up to you! :) Jaime and I and lots of other people have been working our butts off to get DSDI up and running again as quickly as possible, and you just wouldn’t believe all the things that have been going wrong. It’s insane. I worked in tech support for a long time, and the vast majority of issues are so much easier than this. lol But we’ll be back and better than ever… eventually. Maybe when Bean and I are over this cold. lol Thanks for hanging in there!

Pre-Grand Opening Freebie no. 1!

Over at DSDI, they have lots of challenges that I’m excited to get started on. I’m not going to stop making LOs due to designing, of course! :) But I did do a bit of designing for my first challenge over there. I made a mini kit for the color challenge. Check it out!

If you click the preview, you’ll be whisked away to the color challenge gallery, where you can find my download link for this mini, and hopefully some more minis will be popping up soon in the same colors. Who’s up for some mixing and matching?!

But before you go, I made a little something just for my blog readers too. Click below to get a QP using my new Mommyhood mini. Enjoy!

Surprise! I’m a designer!

Big, big news! If you’ve been reading along for a while, this might be a bit of a shock. lol

I’m a Pink Lady! I officially have a store at Digi Scraps Drive-In!

OK, there is nothing IN my store at the moment, but I should be stocking it over the next week or so, and of course I’ll be updating you guys first with all the details and deals and goodies. In the pipes are at least a couple of mini kits and lots of templates! I hope you love templates as much as I do!

I’ll be celebrating my grand opening with freebies and coupons, so make sure you’re subscribed to my blog to get in on the fun while it lasts!

Happy New Year!

I’ve scheduled this post because when it posts, I’ll be on the northern coast of Zealand drinking champagne, and attempting to sing the Danish national anthem before going outside to watch fireworks going off in every direction as far as the eye can see. I love New Year’s in Denmark! Fourth of July fireworks doesn’t hold a candle to it. It’s incredible. For those of you in North America, you’ll still have 7 hours to go before the ball drops and you west coasters have to wait even longer. Regardless of your time zone, I hope you’re ushering in your best year yet!

Click my LO to get your very own FREE quickpage of it, and then head to Little Red Scraps’ blog to find out how to get ALL of her January Build-a-Kit contributions (together making a FULL kit with two alphas, and matching cardstock) for a price so low, it’s nutty!

Charmed and Dangerous

Have you ever wondered what the perfect way to date your LO would be? You’ve just found it. Here’s one of my old LOs using The Design Girl’s Stars and Stripes mini kit, and I’ve snazzed it up with a new title….

July4.jpg

Little Red Scraps has a new product in her basics line called Basic Dates: Charmed and Dangerous. I can take a bit of credit on this one since I had the idea of number charms, but Jane pulled it off so much better than I could! I love it! Attach the charms to the included months, to each other, or to your photos. If you have the Stunningly Silver alpha, you can attach them to any word you want! Why stop at dates? These things are too cute to be confined!

Guess what’s coming up?

New Year’s! Last year was my daughter’s very first new year’s, and Mad Genius Designs‘ latest free kit was perfect for scrapping some pics from it.

gagagoo.jpgIf you like my layout, I have some good news for you, because I’m offering it as a free QP! Just click the preview to download.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it, and I hope all of you have a fantastic 2010! Thanks for stopping by!

digiscrap art for my little girl’s room

IMG_5336 Sorry the quality of some of these pictures is not that great, but I wanted to share anyway! I’m really picky about what goes on my walls, and it seems to be one of those things where I just have to do it myself. lol

My little girl, Dagmar Lee, has her own bedroom for the first time. I thought it would be nice for her to have some art that matches the rest of the décor, and is appropriate for a toddler. My first thought was the alphabet, so I ran with that idea and here’s what I got.

There are closer shots if you keep scrolling.

For the alphabet piece, I used papers from Flora and Fauna by Polka Dot Pixels, and elements from Rosy Cheeks by Sunflowers Designs. For the numerals piece, I used Forever Sisters by Wimpychompers Designs. In both, I used Little Red Scraps’ awesome basic alpha, Stunningly Silver. I was already in love with that alpha, but it looks amazing on print as well! Wow wow wow!

All items are framed with IKEA RIBBA frames. The mats were included.

Our cat, Tycho, makes a guest appearance in the photos.

How easy was this? Just design, print, and put in a frame! :)

These are not scrapped, but since they’re in the pictures above as well, I thought you might be curious.

This is from Dagmar’s one-year portrait session. It’s me, my mom and dad, Thomas’ dad and mom, and Thomas, with Dagmar in the middle, of course! I just love this picture so much. My little sugar bean really does bring color into our lives! If you’re in the Greater Copenhagen area, I can recommend Dreamvue Photography. Cindy is a very nice American woman in Bronshøj, and as you can see, her work is good!

Lastly, this is a cross-stitch sampler I made shortly after Dagmar was born, but had no where to hang until now!

Home Sweet Home

I contributed to another charity kit! You can see the “C” of my alpha near the bottom of the preview, next to the “a” and “b” of the other two. It’s cross-stitched!

Home Sweet Home kit

As of this writing, the links to read about Robyn’s situation don’t work. Basically, Child Protective Services took her kids from her because one of her kids figured out how to open the front door and walk to a neighbor’s house. It’s a heart-breaking story! When I read it, I had to give my girl some extra hugs. This massive kit, only $7!, goes towards the legal fees she’s enduring to get her kids back.

This preview just blows me away. I’d only seen my part! I just love this! I hope you’ll head to Pretty Scrappy and pick it up. Just click the preview!

Beth is a 27-year-old mother of two (Emily, 3 and Clay, 9 months). She loves to play with her kids & dogs (oh, and husband too!) She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July 2009, and after a procedure, they thought it was gone. In September 2009, after more procedures and tests, they found the cancer to be more aggressive than they thought, and it’s back. Beth underwent a partial hysterectomy on October 8, 2009. We have created this collab in hopes of raising money to help cover the cost of her medical expenses.
